An Honest Review: Best Compact SUV

The Audi Q3 is the best near-luxury compact SUV of the pack. The Volvo XC40 is a bit too funky even if the turbo is slightly better. The MB B-class and BMW X3 requires too many add-on packages to match the Audi's features, becoming too expensive -- also have a cheap interior for the price. The fact is you're looking at the Q3 because you've also considered the Q5. However, it's about $5-10k more for the same features and doesn't offer much more space or tech to justify the price. If you're looking for a stylish near-luxury compact SUV, you're in the right spot. I did a lot of research over several months and ultimately purchased a full-option '21 Audi Q3 Premium Plus. I noticed reviews from others were either too critical of the Q3 (reviewing it like they expected a Q7) or not critical enough (you love your new car, but honestly it's not perfect). I hope to accurately review the Q3 and point out honest observations while remembering this vehicle is a near-luxury compact SUV, not a luxury or standard vehicle. - 5.0
Such a welcome upgrade

After really enjoying my 2016 A3 for about 4 years, I upgraded to my new 2021 fully-loaded Q3 and could not be happier. The small (but not tiny or cramped) SUV gets great gas mileage--I routinely do much better than the EPA estimates--and drives like a dream. I have taken several road trips in the car with multiple adult passengers and everyone remarks on how comfortable it is. In addition to being well-powered and sporty, the interior is extremely luxe; definitely what you're paying for. The virtual cockpit and 10+ inch center dash screen are incredibly easy to use. With Apple CarPlay, the dash basically becomes an embedded iPad. The bird's eye camera and automatic parking are just nuts, and the adaptive cruise control is a must-have. Even with big wheels and summer tires, the ride is incredible smooth and comfortable. Very pleased with this SUV, which makes me feel like less of a suburban soccer mom than the Q5 does ;-) - 5.0
Much better than the previous Q3 versions

The Audi Q3 Sportback is elegant and refined on the road, just like the Audi Q3 SUV. In terms of image and style, it edges ahead for this reviewer with a unique coupé-like look for this segment. The beauty is that Audi has sacrificed very little practicality for this style. So the Q3 Sportback balances the head and heart with plenty of interior space and a big boot. Inside, the Sportback has one of the best cabin experiences in the class. Equipment levels are good with plenty of technology coming as standard on the vehicle. The Audi Q3 Sportback adds even more prestige to the Q3 range in a desirable SUV-coupé format.
